After finishing the adjacent Municipal Court and Police Department, the city turned its renovation efforts towards the existing City Hall. The building's first floor was newly vacant, as the city's police and court system had been relocated, leaving the remaining departments, such as planning, finance, development, human resources, and administration, to expand and double their footprints within the existing building. The extensive renovation included new HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, along with an updated Council Chambers and flexible office interiors designed to foster staff engagement and collaboration. The new entrance involved removing a structurally unsound faux third-floor parapet, cornices, and vinyl shutters, while utilizing contemporary materials to create a more modern façade with a glass box and portal frame for the administrative conference room above.
