SMBH ❤️’s OSU
SMBH is celebrating our love for The Ohio State University this Valentine's Day! How could we not be? We've worked on over 100 projects together on their main campus alone!
Eleven of our team members are OSU alums, including our most recent hire, Ann Stallsmith, who graduated at the end of 2024. As a member of TBDBITL (The Best Damn Band In The Land), she traveled to Atlanta, Georgia for the 2025 College Football National Championship. Ann started as an intern with us last year and joined us as a full-time team member this month. We can't think of a better way to cap off her years at Ohio State than with a winning trip to the National Championship!
As structural engineers, we are really in love with OSU's buildings. The university has a rich history of impressive edifices, which you can watch grow and change over time with their new OSU Historic Map.
Our work with the hallowed institution began in 1975 with Weigel Hall. Since then, we've been proud to collaborate on some of the campus's most iconic structures, such as the Wexner Center, William Oxley Thomson Library, and the Knowlton School of Architecture. We could go on listing all the buildings we love for some time, but since that would be boring, you can check out the slideshow below with a selection of our favorites!
