SMBH Office Is Looking Lively!

Our office has gradually become busier as more of our team members start working in the office again. We have always had flexible scheduling so that everyone has time to create their ideal life/work balance, but since the beginning of the COVID pandemic we have established several new ways for our team to work together - remotely, in-office, and hybrid. While it's taken some adjustment, we feel that these evolutions of the ways we work have been beneficial to us as a team and to individual team members.

Even with all these changes, we're still doing fun and tasty activities for our team! In the past five weeks alone, we've had our annual Chili Cook-Off and Pi Day, and Aladdin's of Grandview brought us a great lunch that we're still having dreams about.

This year's Chili Cook-Off Grand Chili Champ was Alex Chlosta with his Sweet & Spicy Chili! Ebiji Akah won the "Best Nutrient-Packed" category with his 3-Bean Turkey Potato Chili, and Anna Milligan won our first Chili Cook-Off remote plating category, "Best Looking," with her Protein-Packed Veggie Chili with Quinoa. We'd like to thank everyone that brought in chili - it was all delicious!

This year's Pi Day was great, too! Unlike our annual Chili Cook-Off, Pi day isn't a competition, just good old-fashioned pie appreciation. We had lots of pies to try and free pizza for everyone in the office. A few of the pies featured were Key Lime, Coconut Creme, Peach, Cherry Crunch, Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie, and more. Between that and lunch, it was a very full day - literally and figuratively.

We're looking forward to future fun events in the office, as well as resuming some of our yearly outings like our family Clipper's Game. Stay tuned for more of the fun!
