Location:

Architects:

Van Auken Akins Architects, LLC
Construction Cost:
$10.8 Million
The project consisted of the demolition of the existing 27,645 sq ft Agricultural Engineering Building and the design and construction of a replacement facility on the existing site. As a part of the demolition project the existing utilities in the tunnel were disconnected and capped and hazardous materials abated to satisfy LEED requirements. The replacement facility is aligned with the principles of the Frame Work Plan for the Regional Campuses and includes labs for specialized research, faculty offices, lab and office support spaces, surface parking, and connection to the existing utility tunnel system. The scope included site planning with a goal of strengthening pedestrian and vehicular connections within the campus. Design services included interior finishes and equipment.
